Unhealthy Eating Habits

Unhealthy eating habits may result in energy imbalance. Frequent snacking and increased portion sizes of
energy-dense food and drinks which are often high in
fat, sugar and salt can increase the energy (caloric)
intake excessively.

On the other hand, skipping meals may also contribute to excessive caloric intake. For example, a child who skips breakfast is likely to overeat at the next meal due to increased hunger. So, it is important for children to have regular meals.
